External USB CD/DVD Rom Drive Issues

I’m using Firefox on PCX to connect to our VDI-in-a-Box Server. Everything works fine there but we have these ASUS SDRW-08D2S-U USB DVD Drives that I would like to connect to the Virtual Desktops on startup. As it is now it works as long as you disconnect and then reconnect them after the Virtual desktop has started. I’m stumped on how to get them to connect automatically with out the reconnect.

Also it takes a long time for PCX to get it’s network connection thus the reason for the long Autologin countdown is there any way to specify not to autologin until a network connection is established.
