I’m trying to roll out an image update but get “Failed – [ERROR: WMS File Repository Server not found. (error code : 105).][ERROR STAGE: Repository validation.][REASON: Could not connect to repository server.][SOLUTION: Check the network connection/authentication.]| (105)” in the WMS logs.

I’m using the local repo on our WMS server. The 3040 thin clients can check in okay. I’ve also opened port 1883 (inbound and outbound).

Which firmware are you running on this device?

Not sure of the exact version because I’ve since used the USB imaging tool to flash the devices. It was ThinLinux 2.x

Have you updated the Merlin and platform package up front?

We’re getting the same error when trying to apply ThinLinux OS updates to our WYSE 5070s.  Our WMS file repository is operation as we can push other updates, i.e. Horizon successfully.

NOTE:  We tried to push ThinLinux 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2, no luck.  We are using Dell’s USB Imaging Tool for the interim but now have 300 thin clients.

Has anyone discovered a fix for this?  Dell Support isn’t helpful.

Sorry but no, I never found a fix for it. We only have a handful of thin clients so I just update them via USB.
