    I hope this isn’t a duplicate post, I found one thread that sounded similar but it was from a year ago and had no replies.

    I just updated a handful of my 3040 clients from 8.x to 9.1.6108.BIOS is the latest 1.2.5

    On some clients with dual screens, Screen 2 will often start with only a 1024 x 768 screen resolution available even though it should be running 1920×1080. Simply turning the monitor off and back on is enough to fix the resolution, but the user then needs to reconnect their Citrix session for it to make use of both screens.

    I do not include any screen resolution settings in my WMS policy.

    I have the smilar issue running Wyse 3040 with ThinOS 2205. I had the issue in earlier versions as well. I have specified the resolution to be 1920 x 1080 on both screens. The issue occurs for us when the unit is woken from having been idle for a while and the screens are in sleep mode.

    I have been restarting the entire client when the issue occurs, but thanks to your tip I now only have to turn the display off an on again. However, I would like to have this issue fixed. After over a year of testing ThinOS 9 and fixing out the quirks we finally deployed in production last week and this issue pops up.

    On my part I only have this issue on my 3040 clients with only single screens. My 3040 clients with dual screens does not appear to have this issue in our environment. @Justin_PedEnt is it the main screen or the secondary screen that has this issue for you? Have you managed to solve it?

    It only happened with the secondary screen. I was not able to resolve the problem and for now have reverted most of my 3040 workstations back to ThinOS 8.6

    Sorry to hear that you had to revert your workstations back to 8.6. That is a pain to do, since it is all manual labour. Also strange that for me only my single monitor devices are be affected. We are living with the issue now since I will not downgrade 50 + clients manually to 8.6.

    we were upgrading from 9.1.6108. In the end we decided to revert back to that version, because there are more errors in the new 2205 version.

    Since the issue for me only affected single monitor units I tried to switch the display to display port 2 and that seemed to solve the issue for now. Units with the single monitor in display port 2 does not have the resolution reset issue as of now. It might bee a bit too early to tell for sure, since I have only tried this for 2 days now, but it looks promising.

    Good for you, but it’s not a solution for us. All our workplaces have dual monitor setups.

    Hi all,

    we have the same issue on our 3040 dual monitor workplaces:

    for both ThinOS 9.1608 and 2205. It’s been reported to our IT-dept The second screen display is distorted after its recovery from being locked, when monitors have turned to sleep mode. The “solution” is to turn off and on the affected monitor.

    I’ll make some tests today… If i hit the target, i let you know here.

    Regards,

    FV

    Hi,

    i have applied a workaround on WMS (3.8) that works on 3040 Wyse ThinOS 9.1.608:

    Go to menu Personalization>Screen Saver:

    Screen Saver Settings:
    Timer ==>15
    Time Unit ==>Minute
    Screen Saver Type ==> Moving Image
    Lock Terminal ==>Disabled
    Sign Off Automatically when Lock Terminal ==> off
    Turn Off the Display ==>0
    Select Screen Saver Image ==>LOGO.gif

    The main issue is when monitors turn off so i keep them on but with lightweighted logo as screen saver.

    Regards,

    FV

    I have just upgraded two clients to ThinOS 2303 and now I have this issue with the dual monitor clients as well.
