Downgrade thin os 9 version

    Hi all I’m new to the forum

     

    Is there a way to downgrade thin os 9.0.4024 to 9.0.3030? Via WMS.

     

    I don’t want to downgrade to thin os 8 via usb then upgrade to 9 again, as the devices are at a remote location.

     

    Currently on thin os 9.0.4024 audio through the display port cable doesn’t work.

    It works on 9.0.3030.

    I tried to deploy the firmware to the device via WMS but the error I get is

    Failed to install packages Error (failed to install root version 9.0.3030 package base version is not matched.

    I have contacted dell who don’t have a solution.

    Any suggestions welcome

    No the only way to downgrade is to use a merlin image and do it via USb install. That is one thing I do not like about WMS portal, cant downgrade, even though it gives you the option to do it, every time I done it, it failed as well
