    Hi Everyone

I am trying to run linux on the Z90D7 – everything works fine except the power off. I have tried various variants of linux – systemmd and non systemmd – and on various clients.

The text displayed on shutdown now or shutdown -hP now ends with

Reboot: Power off after failing to umount drives (depending upon the variant of linux being used)

I have used a the linux systemrescuecd boot usb and that does power off correctly if you choose power off from the startup menu:-). If you boot into the systemrescue cd and then shutdown , it fails to power off,

I have re-imaged the machines using the latest windows7 standard image and tool, and this has worked fine. The bios says it is 3.0E They have the 16gb sata dom and 4 or 8gb of ram.

    Regards

Make sure to wipe the disk using a bootable USB disk, there may be a hidden partition that Linux is trying to control.
