    Hi,

at the moment we use a lot of physical pc’s with different Kodak USB scanners the we want to virtualize.

I successfully redirected a USB Kodak-Scanner (i1220) from Dell 3040 Thin Client to a Windows 10 VDA (1912 LTSR), installed the corresponding driver an scanner startet working.

Since we have different Kodak scanner (drivers) and I wanted to create a pool of “Windows 10 scan pc”, is there a possibilty to use/map the different scanner as “generic device” to use a common driver (Citrix?) for scanning ?

Otherwise we have to install all the different drivers on the Windows pcs and/or assign specific Windows 10 VDA to specific Wyse 3040 (with corresponding Kodak scanner)

    best regards,

Citrix has a feature called TWAIN redirection. This would be what you are looking for.
However, ThinOS does not support this. You would need a Windows 10 IoT device to use it.

    Hi,

    I have plugged a Kodak i940 to a Wyse 5070 / ThinOS 8.6.

I installed the Kodak drivers (TWAIN, WIA and ISIS)

Redirection is done out-of the box and the scanner appears well in the host as a “local” device.

Kodak OneTouch is not working. Says that the scanner is not ready

Kodak SVT validation tools is working..

Freeware NAPS2 works (almost) using twain. Won’t work using WIA.

I can scan a document but the software then wait forever for some twain “closure”

    Any hints ?
