    Hello, I have wyse 3020 (thinOs lite) These models only allow for citrix connections. However our environment requires RDP connections which are not available on these devices. I have read of some models being able to convert to full ThinOS – is that process possible for this device and if so where can i purchase the conversion from? Many Thanks

    There is no such conversion kit available.

    Hello,

    I need to use a bunch of 3020 with RDP but they have ThinOS Lite 2.6 installed.

    On the DELL support page, I have the option to download both ThinOS and ThinOS Lite, however when I try to update with ThinOS 8.6 from ThinOS Lite 2.6 i get a “Invalid Firmware error”.

    How can I solve this?

    Thanks.

    There is only one way.
    Buy new ones.

    Hello.

    I found a way to convert ThinOS Lite to ThinOS Full.

    In the “xen.ini” file, leave only the line:
    autoload=101 LoadPkg=0 VerifySignature=no

    Put the update file from your model (ThinOS Lite version) next to it.
    When downloading, the system will ask for confirmation of the update. At this point, you need to replace the file from “ThinOS Lite” with the “ThinOS Full” version file and confirm the update.

    You may have to downgrade the firmware beforehand.
    Everything went well on my model 3010.

    Do everything at your own risk. I am not responsible for possible damages.

    Everything works well. Now I can connect via RDP to the terminal server.
