Cannot rename 5060 thin client

    Hi guys,

    I have an  issue when I try to rename my wyse 5060 /(w10)  from both wdm and wms.

    Currently they have a name not calculated automatycally and I want to get it automatically calculated.

    From the management software I run the command to rename the thin client (I set  MINWITHNET to get automatic calculation). The client reboot but the name doesn’t change.

    I don’t know why it doesn’t work.  Can someone help me to solve this problem?

    I doubt MINWITHNET is still working. Last time I have seen that was with WinXP.
    Does the name change to anything else? Or have you just tried MINWITHNET?

    Hello ConfGen,

    I have done more tests and MINWITHNET still works even with W10.

    What I have noticed is that on Wyse with W7  the rename from WDM works as expected.

    On Wyse with W10 the rename from wdm does not work. I think it does not disable the write filter berfore doing the rename.

    For the moment I do it in a different way (on W10 wyse):

    – access the TC via vnc

    – disable write filter

    – set name as MINWITHNET

    – enable write filter

    It is tedious but solves my problem
