    All,

Is it possible to set a v90 XPe machine up to boot to a login prompt for VDM? I checked the Bios and nothing is jumping out at me. I am looking for something like the Network settings on the V10.

    Thanks,
    Steve

The only way to do someting like that is modify the registry. This way you can replace the Windows Explorer shell with any other program like VDM client.
Or simply put the VDM client in the Startup folder.

I had tried adding the VDM client to the startup folder but the machine is so locked down I could not figure out how to to that. This is an out of the box implementation, I did not lock anything down myself. Same goes for the registry. No way I can figure out how to even get there. Granted I am a newbie to the thin clients. I have only been playing with them a week or so but I don’t see how I could implement either of those two options. on the V90.

    Steve,

simply log off and hold down the Shift key while the logoff process runs. You will now be prompted for username/password. Use administrator/Administrator to login as admin.
Disable File based Write Filter (FBWF disable). Now you can change everything like you can do with a standard Windows XP.

Don’t forget to enable the FBWF again after finishing your config.
