Black Screen

    We have installed the latest firmware and Horizon package on a Dell 3040, but receive a Black Screen when it’s logged in. We can see the sidebar with the tools and the session shows in administrator.

    Please, can anyone offer any advise?

    Yes locally it just has a black screen; even if I use VNC it still displays the Black Screen. Via another computer browser, the session works great. how ideas?

    CG – Just a bit more information. I see the welcome screen briefly when the session starts, but then the screen goes Black – could it be a driver issue?

    When you say “Welcome screen” I guess you are talking about the Windows Welcome screen, correct? Just asking because you said earlier that the black screen appears locally and NOT in the session.
    Have you already updated the 3040 to 8.5_020 and latest Horizon client?

    CG. We have successfully upgraded to 8.5_020 but are still experiencing the same issue. I have pasted a few screen shots below to show you the problem

    We get the login box on the Thin Client (3040) using Blast

    We sign in, and it briefly shows logging into Windows before you are presented with a black screen and cursor

     

    We can see the session has been successful in Horizon Administrator, but can’t use it on the terminal.

    And you have also updated the horizon package?
    Latest is V4.6.50691

    CG – The issue is with a faulty 3040 device. I tried another device this morning and it worked as expected. I would like to thank you for all your support.
