I have a test TC 9470 on Wyse ThinOS 9.1.2101, and BIOS 1.7.1
I wanted to update it to the latest BIOS, here’s what i’m doing.
On WMS 3.6, I created a group named “BIOS upgrade”, where i configured the Firmware > BIOS Firmware Updates policy, and uploaded “bios-5470AIO-1.10.1.pkg-v1.10.1 (Tenant Repository)”. Marked that bios, then saved policy.
When i move the TC to that group i see the file upload progress on the TC screen, and two popups. One asks for reboot due to group change, and the other says “a new firmware or application is available, upgrade now or next reboot”. Whatever option i choose, same thing happens. I get this error: Failed to upgrade package.
And in the Event Log, the following message:
Failed to install packages. error: [“Failed to install bios version: 1.10.1, error: package verification failed: verify certs failed: unable to get local issuer cerificate\n”]
On WMS i see
Thin Client Image File Downloaded By Device
downloaded File bios-5470AIO_1.10.1.pkg-V1.10.1
What am i doing wrong? Or what am i missing?
Hi Milo666,
I don’t know if this is your case, but something similar happened to me with the 5070. I had to upgrade Thin0S from 9.1.2 to 9.1.3 first and then the bios install correctly.
