Beware AVD v2.3.2266 crashes when logging into an RDP Server Farm and getting redirected to another server. Makes the thin client completely unusable, and you cannot downgrade to AVD v1.8.x (the stable one that doesn’t crash with copy/paste buffer issues). You’ll have to downgrade ThinOS to 2308 if you want AVD 1.8.

YET ANOTHER insufferable ThinOS / AVD release from Dell!

We had the same problem with this AVD packet and the newest ThinOS version. I hope Dell will fix this with a newer version.

I keep checking, there hasn’t been a fixed ThinOS or AVD released since my prior post. I can’t believe we have to keep AVD v1.8 still on hundreds of thin clients just because it has had so many major bugs in the past year!!

RDP direct connection is fine though

We have a crash case when cascading w/ a Citrix workspace connexion inside the VM.

Note that we’re still on ThinOS 8.6 for the majority of clients (~100) because every single AVD release has been aving “glitchs” so far. No UDP yet, which is flabbergasting.

The only improvement we’ve seen w/ ThinOS 9 is Zoom plugin for offloading cpu and network.

BTW, what was wrong with 9.x.x numbering so to add a parallel quarterly numbering. ?

This is insane. There are now two flavors or ThinOS 2311 : 9.4.4106 and 9.4.4123
