Hello,
I have a Wyse 3040 running 8.6_807 that is managed by WMS 3.5.2. I have tried to setup the screen resolution of the two attached monitors to 1280×768. After I update the profile and reboot the Thin Client, the resolution stays at the default 1920×1080.
I get these error messages in the Event Log:
cfg: Dualhead statement is ignored due to the personal settings
cfg: screen statement is ignored due to the personal settings
I did a factory reset of the Thin Client and let it download a fresh profile. I’m wondering what other setting is causing this issue.
sounds like there is a local setting overwriting what you want in the policy. I would factory reset the device and also, before registering again. Use the “Unregister” button on the device in WMS and then find the “Not Registered” device under devices highlight it again in WMS and choose “Delete” That’s the only way I’ve found to clear any local device policies on a device that you may not be aware up. Once that database object is gone from WMS, your factory rest will be a true reset and pull a fresh policy.
Thanks Brian1020. That worked. I’ll remember that for next time.
