As some of you already get aware of, Dell has announced the release of ThinOS 8.6 MR9 build 8.6_710.
Feature Updates:
- Customer defect resolution updates outlined in the ThinOS 8.6 build 8.6_710 release notes
- Security reviews and updates, including security changes to disable file server and WMS auto-discovery (using DHCP options and DNS records) after receiving the initial client configurations if discovery configurations are not explicitly defined as enabled
- 32GB eMMC and SSD support to ensure compatibility for 5070, 5470, and 5470 AIO platform expansions
- Monitor orientation 180-degree (Flip) display rotation
- Remote “work from home” wireless enhancements now allowing wireless network configuration by users when ThinOS privilege set to “None”
- Inclusive language parameter support, replacing legacy configuration terms such as Black/White with Block/Allow
- Citrix Self-Service Password Reset pin change parameter configuration controls
- Wyse Management Suite delay reboot options to allow users to delay updates from the management suite
